Steel windows by Clement chosen for the Savoy Hotel!

Only the very best steel windows by Clement will do for the world renowned Savoy.

October 2010 saw the completion of what was undoubtedly the UK's highest profile building refurbishment project in recent memory, the three year £220 million pound upgrading of the fabulous Savoy Hotel in London. The project has been described as the most ambitious hotel restoration ever undertaken.

Built in 1889 for Richard D'Oyly Carte and now owned by Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal, managed by Fairmont, this landmark property has lost none of its panache, many returning past clients have voiced their approval at the fantastic quality of the refit.

None of the Savoy's individual personality has been lost infact it has been enhanced.

Clement replica replacement steel windows were specified by the Architects for the famous River elevation, both Monet and Whistler painted the view over the Thames whilst looking through these historic windows.

The Clement steel windows chosen were bespoke EB24 in a powder coated cream colour glazed with 24mm green sun cool glass units. All of the 200 composite windows offered multi point locking to BS 7950, this system provides first class security and resistance to air and water exceeding BS 6375. Another special feature added to the fenestration was the customised handles and stays designed exclusively for the Savoy after consultation with Westminster Conservation team.

Mike Locke, Operations Manager at Clement enthused "of course we are very proud to think that our windows now play a part in the Savoy's rich history and hope that they provide the illustrious guests with many year's of good service".
